Accessibility Statement

TCJ Hauling (Take Care Junk) keeps takecarejunk.com usable for everyone: our accessibility commitment, known limitations and how to report a barrier to us.

Last reviewed: July 29, 2026

Take Care Junk Hauling wants every customer in the Sacramento area to be able to use this website, including people who browse with a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, rely on captions, or use magnification and high-contrast settings.

Our conformance target

We are working to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities. We treat WCAG 2.1 AA as our standard and we review the site against it as we make changes.

We describe our conformance as partial: most of the site meets the standard, and the areas that do not are listed below. We would rather tell you exactly where the gaps are than claim a level of conformance we have not finished reaching.

What we have done

  • A “Skip to main content” link on every page, so keyboard users can bypass the navigation.
  • Landmark regions: banner, navigation, main content, and footer, so assistive technology can jump between areas of the page.
  • Descriptive text alternatives on images that carry meaning.
  • Labelled form fields on our quote and contact forms.
  • Descriptive names on interactive controls, including the “Read More” buttons that expand customer reviews.
  • Text and background colours checked for contrast against the WCAG AA minimum.
  • Phone numbers marked up as links so they can be dialled directly.
  • A single, clear page heading with a logical heading order beneath it.

Known limitations

We are aware of the following, and are working on them:

  • Third-party content. Some features on this site are provided by outside services. The embedded Google Map, our online booking form, and the customer-review widget. We do not control their code, and parts of them may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA. If one of them blocks you, please contact us and we will complete the same task with you directly.
  • Older blog images. A small number of images published before this review may have text alternatives that are less descriptive than we would like. We are improving these as we revisit each post.
  • Video captions. Where we publish video, captions are not yet available on all clips.

Tell us about a barrier

If you run into any part of this website you cannot use, we want to hear about it, and we will help you get what you need in the meantime. We answer accessibility messages the same way we answer quote requests: quickly, and from a real person.

How we assess this site

We evaluate takecarejunk.com using a combination of automated accessibility testing, manual keyboard-only navigation, and review of the page structure against WCAG 2.1 AA. This statement is reviewed whenever we make significant changes to the site.
