When Large Item Removal Needs More Than a Basic Junk Pickup
A regular pickup is two people carrying things to a truck. A hot tub has to be cut into sections first. A shed has to come down panel by panel. A piano weighs 300 to 1,200 pounds and does not come apart. A safe fits through the door only one way.

Shed Demolition and Removal
Leaning sheds get taken down panel by panel so nothing falls on the fence. Small sheds run $250 to $500, medium $500 to $900, slab-based sheds $900 and up.
Piano Removal
Uprights and grands, from ground floors and from upstairs. A ground-floor upright is $200 to $400; upstairs removals run $350 to $600 and up because of the crew time on the stairs.
Gym Equipment & Exercise Machine Removal
A treadmill is $80 to $120 as a single pickup; a full home gym is priced by volume. Most of them are in a back bedroom or a garage corner behind everything else.
BBQ Grills, Entertainment Centers & Miscellaneous Bulky Items
Built-in grills, display cases, commercial shelving, a wood stove insert. If it is heavy and nobody else will quote it, text a photo.
House Cleanouts and Large Item Removal Often Go Together
A hot tub removal usually turns into a full backyard cleanup once the pad is bare and the rest of the yard is visible. A piano pickup is the last stop in an estate cleanout. A shed comes down the week a house goes on the market.
Garages, side yards and patios are where the heavy things end up: the old spa, the broken patio furniture, the gym nobody used. Clearing them opens more usable space than anyone expects, and it all fits on one truck.

Why Large Item Removal Is Usually a Bad DIY Project
Moving a hot tub or hauling a piano sounds manageable until the job starts. The weight is real, the access is awkward, and the landfill will not take some of it anyway.
The cost of one bad lift. A back injury, a cracked tile, a broken gate or a scraped wall costs more than the removal. A piano on a staircase is the one that goes wrong fastest.
These are removal projects, not pickups. Hot tubs are cut down first. Sheds are demolished. Pianos need controlled lifting. Narrow gates, second floors and tight garages all need planning and the right equipment.

What Affects Pricing
Size and weight come first: safes, hot tubs, pianos and built-in structures take more labor and special handling. Access is second: backyards, stairs, second floors, narrow side yards, fences and demolition all add time.

Do You Tear Down Sheds, Decks, and Hot Tubs Before Hauling?

Can You Remove Heavy Items From Upstairs or Backyards?
Yes. Pianos, gym equipment, safes and oversized furniture come out of upstairs rooms, garages, backyards, patios and tight side yards. Tell us the floor and the gate width when you text, and the quote accounts for it.
Do I Need to Prepare Anything Before Pickup?
Mostly no. You do not need to move, drain or break anything down. The one exception is a hot tub: a licensed electrician disconnects the power before we arrive.

Yes. A single treadmill or one safe is a normal call. Single items are quoted on size, weight, access and how much dismantling they need.
